SLLA and Dr. Hozien

Dr. Wafa Hozien has been preparing students to pass the SLLA exam since 2008, when the test was originally a paper-and-pencil test. She has come up with innovative strategies that are timely and have led to success for every student that she prepares for the exam. Her professional background includes over 20 years’ work as a special and regular education teacher, a history teacher, and a school administrator.

Dr. Hozien has designed and delivered training for leadership academies throughout the United States and internationally. She specializes in multicultural educational competency strategies working with professional development coordinators, school administrators, and school districts to adopt innovative strategies to serve the best interests of all students for their locations.

Presently, she is in the Educational Leadership Department at Central Michigan University and teaches graduate courses in preparing aspiring school leaders, principals and superintendents, to be at their best in any given school setting. Dr. Hozien appreciates constructive feedback and gaining insight as to best practices and ways to improve the SLLA preparation process.
